Co-author of Intuitive Eating, Evelyn Tribole, reports on the strong association between dieting and weight GAIN. Dieting simply does not work for the majority of the population. That includes dieting that goes by popular names like “Atkins” or “South Beach” and dieting that is a version of restriction – cut 500 calories per day, eat “clean” Monday-Friday and “cheat” on the weekend, etc… If it feels like a diet and it tastes like a diet, it’s a diet!
